WATSON FARM MACHINERY is proud to be an original partner in a consortium of local machinery manufacturers and farmers who developed the Southern Air Seeder for sowing cereal and oilseed crops on raised beds.
The latest models of the Southern Air Seeder range from 4 to 10 metres in width and can have the air seeding boxes units mid mounted on the tool bar or trailing 2 or 4 wheel bin units.
The Southern Air Seeder can sow all crops, including rice, on raised beds or quickly converts to flat ground and its special features include:
- Hydraulic tynes with adjustable break out pressure - spacing from 200 - 300 mm
- Excellent trash clearance for sowing into stubble
- 2 or 3 metre wheel centres for controlled traffic cropping
- Increase yields using "NUK" press wheel sowing systems (2007 model)
- Optional double shoot systems, allows for a split application of fertiliser using the primary tyne and press wheel sowing tube
- Optional raised bed renovation kits
